Stockholm, Day 2: Pride Park

Stockholm, Day 2: Pride Park

What a night… It stopped raining when we arrived at Pride Park (Tantolunden) during the afternoon, so we could eat without extra water being added to our dinner. But in the evening when we stood in front of the stage, it started raining again… As 10:15 pm came closer and Alcazar would perform, the area in front of the stage turned into a large pool of water. But I didn’t care, and my place right behind the wheelchairs was perfect when BWO finally went on stage!

Stockholm, Day 2: The Pride Parade

Stockholm, Day 2: The Pride Parade

Today was my first day ever at the Pride festival, and it was also my first time working as a volunteer at the Pride parade. It was… interesting to watch. We, the volunteers, were so happy because of the lovely weather in the morning – but at lunch when we started preparing the parade area it started raining, and it just wouldn’t stop… But neither the participants nor the audience seemed to care, and I was fascinated by the more than 150 groups who participated.

Stockholm, Day 1

Stockholm, Day 1

Me and A had so much fun today! We met at 10 am, and that was a perfect time to go shopping… I was really impressed by how much Swedish A has learned by now, it was a huge improvement since last year! In the afternoon we took the guided tour of the Royal Armoury, a museum I’ve wanted to visit for years. It was very cool and I would love to visit again!
